Acrylic Coating
An acrylic coating system is an advanced liquid-applied system and is an outstanding choice for many types of substrates; modified bitumen, single-ply, built up, metal and spray polyurethane foam.
Acrylic coatings are made from a high quality, aqueous acrylic polymer that forms a continuous, durable elastomeric membrane over the roof’s surface. It adheres to the substrate to form a seamless, watertight seal over the entire roof, including flashings vents, and protrusions.
It is also remarkably durable and able to withstand the most routine roof hazards. These include temperature extremes, ultra-violet light, mildew, normal foot traffic and building movement. Since an acrylic coating system is also water-based, it is safe to apply in most situations. The material is non-flammable and there are no toxic fumes. Acrylic coating is easily applied either by spraying or rolling onto the existing roof substrate.
