Hurricane Ian – September 28, 2022
An unpredictable and extremely strong tropical storm in the form of Hurricane Ian struck Southwest Florida on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, causing widespread and well-documented destruction. Commercial Roofing Industries mobilized the next day and was securing the roofs of our clients by Friday, the 30th (Winn-Dixie, Port Charlotte). Over the next week we responded to over 25 requests for roof inspections and dry-in estimates.
CRI’s work of cleaning storm debris, assessing roof damage, preparing estimates, and providing temporary emergency repairs continues. We have been asked to remove and repair damaged facades and parapets from several locations, and, thanks to our technical team and general contractor qualification, we have been able to meet our clients’ needs.
As depicted in the photos, we have dried in dislocated air conditioning units, repaired TPO membranes, sealed in large areas of missing shingles on sloped roofs, and made extensive repairs on built up asphalt roofs.
