Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems

Modified Bitumen roofing systems are one of the most reliable roofing products on the market.  Depending on the roof’s substrate, it can be installed with one or multiple layers.

 Due to the granules in the cap sheet, Modified Bitumen roofing systems are good heat reflectors. The granules are also a fire retardant.  In order to achieve positive drainage, a modified systems should be installed on roofs with not less than ¼” slope . A single layer installation, modified roof system has an 20-24 year lifespan. Since it includes multiple layers it adds to the life of the system.
